About eCARBURANT

Data source and methodology

Prices originate from Monitorul Prețurilor — Consiliul Concurenței. eCARBURANT retrieves the public reports, validates plausible price ranges and Romanian coordinates, removes duplicates and presents the latest observation for each station and fuel. The source is independent from eCARBURANT.

Updates and resilience

The collection process is scheduled every six hours. Each price shows its own reporting age because networks update at different times. If the official source is unavailable, the last known values remain visible and are clearly marked as older rather than being presented as live.

The following reporting networks currently appear in our database:

Independent stations absent from the official source are also absent here. “Lowest reported price” always means the lowest within the available reporting coverage, not necessarily every station in Romania.

Map and location

The map uses OpenStreetMap data served through OpenFreeMap. Location is requested only after a browser permission prompt. Coordinates are rounded for the shareable map URL, are not stored in the application database and are not used to build a movement profile. Technical providers may receive the IP address needed to deliver the page and map tiles; details are in the privacy policy.

Independence

eCARBURANT is not affiliated with the Romanian Competition Council, Monitorul Prețurilor, any fuel network, OpenStreetMap, OpenFreeMap, Google or Waze. Network names and logos identify the reported stations and remain the property of their respective owners.
